Run a direct line from your network into AWS
Momentum connects your sites to AWS over a private link on dedicated ports up to 400G, alongside direct paths into Azure and other clouds.
Make AWS part of your private network
Reaching AWS over the internet means sharing a route with everyone else. Direct Connect puts a private link between your network and AWS, so traffic skips the public internet. Momentum builds or sources the path from your sites, handles the AWS side as an AWS Partner, and runs it next to your other cloud connections.
- Straight to AWS: Traffic moves from your network into AWS without crossing the public internet
- Dedicated ports: Connections run at 1G, 10G, 100G, or 400G on a port that belongs to you alone
- Any site, any distance: Momentum builds or sources the circuit from your location to the nearest Direct Connect site
- Many clouds, one network: AWS runs on the same network as your Azure and other cloud connections

Why AWS traffic belongs on a private link
How Momentum gets you into AWS
Engineers plan redundant connections across separate Direct Connect locations, following AWS resiliency guidance.

Industries running core workloads on AWS

Clinical data in the cloud still has to move like it's down the hall.
- Imaging archivesLarge imaging studies reach AWS storage without crossing the public internet.
- EHR and analyticsHospitals connect to cloud-hosted records and analytics over a private link.
- Disaster recoveryReplication to AWS runs on predictable bandwidth, so recovery targets stay realistic.
Bring every cloud you run onto one network
Few enterprises run on a single cloud. Momentum connects AWS through Direct Connect, Azure through ExpressRoute, and other providers through Cloud Exchange, all on the same private network. Momentum builds or sources the path from each site to reach you, and one team stays accountable from your router to every cloud edge.

AWS Direct Connect FAQs
Answers to the questions we hear most, straight from the team that runs the network.
Book a meetingAWS Direct Connect is a private network connection between your infrastructure and AWS. Traffic runs over a dedicated link into an AWS port, keeping it off the public internet and providing consistent performance to your VPCs and services.
Dedicated connections run at 1, 10, 100, or 400 Gbps. The right size depends on your traffic and your AWS location, since 400 Gbps ports are available only at select sites. Momentum sizes the port during design.
No. Momentum builds or sources the circuit from your data center or office to the nearest Direct Connect location and completes the cross-connect inside the facility. Your equipment stays where it is.
Direct Connect traffic is private but unencrypted by default. MACsec encryption is available on 10, 100, and 400 Gbps dedicated connections at select locations, and you can run an IPsec VPN over any Direct Connect link.
Yes. Momentum supports Azure ExpressRoute and connects other cloud providers through Cloud Exchange. Every connection runs on the same private network with one design and one support team, so adding a cloud doesn't mean adding a vendor.
