Find and build the fastest route between two points
Momentum builds fiber where it doesn't exist and contracts with carriers where it does. Deploy routes at 100G, 400G, and 800G, engineered and managed by one team.
Every route gets the same engineering behind it
Some routes already exist and need negotiating, some have to be dug. Momentum does both, so the recommendation follows your route instead of our inventory. You get dedicated strands or a managed circuit, with the same design work, testing, engineering, and project manager behind it.
- Built by Momentum: We handle right-of-way, permitting, and construction where no fiber runs today
- Sourced from carriers: We negotiate and contract existing routes across 750+ global carriers and service providers
- Strands or lit capacity: Take unlit fiber under IRU or lease, or a circuit we light and operate
- 100G, 400G, 800G: Order the tier the workload needs and scale on the same physical path

How a Momentum route gets delivered
Engineers price the shortest viable path and the diverse alternate before you commit to either.

When a shared circuit stops being enough

Imaging volume moves faster than a shared circuit can carry it
- PACS replicationCampus-to-data-center fiber moves imaging studies without queueing behind clinical traffic.
- Campus interconnectBuildings across one health system run as a single LAN over dedicated strands.
- Data residencyPatient records stay on a private path between facilities you control.
One partner behind every mile of fiber
Providers who only sell what they own will route you around the problem. Providers who only broker will hand you a carrier and step back. Momentum digs and contracts, so the recommendation is designed to your exact needs. The same route can carry managed network monitoring and cloud connectivity when you want them, with one team accountable for performance.

Dark fiber and point-to-point FAQs
Answers to the questions we hear most, straight from the team that runs the network.
Book a meetingDark fiber is installed optical fiber with no light running on it. You lease the strands or buy an IRU and supply your own optical equipment, which puts the protocol, the capacity, and every future upgrade under your control.
Momentum delivers routes at 100G, 400G, and 800G. The tier available on a given route depends on distance, amplification, and the optical equipment at each end, all of which we confirm during design rather than after you order.
Contracting an existing route can take weeks. New construction depends on permitting, right-of-way, and local conditions, and runs in months. Momentum issues a build schedule with the quote, so the timeline is known before you commit budget.
Both, and the route decides which. We construct fiber where the path does not exist and contract it from our carrier network where it does. Many routes use a mix. Momentum holds the contract and the accountability either way.
Momentum locates the fault, dispatches repair, and manages the carrier or construction crew until the route is restored. Customers running a diverse path fail over while repair proceeds, which is why we price diversity at design time.
